It's not always easy to discern. I have to try to feel for it often. Sometimes I find my thoughts carry back to reasoning as to why. I always let those pass. Today is just such a day. It is the 22nd day of the month of April. The sun is blazing, the clouds are few. It's simply a beautiful day! Today is Earth Day 2011.

Today I will be productive, patient, empathetic and willing to do a small part to better the world in which I live. As the owner/operator of Greatest Cape, I find that running my business commands the vast majority of my time. So, as I sit here reflecting on the last year, I want to recount those notable events which have occurred during that time.

As the content at our beloved site has grown, so to has the diversity. Out of need we added the topics of Health and Well-Being, SWFL Cuisine, Cape Coral Business and, most recently, Cape Web Technology.

Another aspect of our BLOG which has seen miraculous growth is our membership. As of this writing, we have exceeded 5000 registered members and continue to expand. We are always glad when we have new members come aboard, as they are the life's blood of our site.

Another area within Greatest Cape which has experienced fast growth is is our Cape Coral Business Directory. As our directory continued to grow, we realized the need to re-build and categorize our offering. It was a lengthy undertaking, yet it has finally been completed. However, because we are constantly striving to improve the form and functionality, we have recently decided that inclusion of our member businesses logos and logotypes is essential, so that project is about to begin. As branding is a crucial aspect of marketing any business, we felt it was imperative in helping our local businesses better establish their namesakes and respective identities.

While some of our changes have been small, we felt that they were necessary improvements to the functionality of our site. Our SWFL and Cape Coral Events Calendar sees so much traffic, we knew that we should add an RSS feed for those frequent visitors who just want to know what's happening at a glance.

The creation of our own group on Facebook® only seemed to be what any worthwhile BLOG would also have created, so that's what we did. My Greatest Cape has nearly 50 members and we can't wait for more! Have you joined yet? If not, we hope you'll decide to do just that.

Because there are probably going to be a lot of additions I'll remember forgetting to include as soon as I post, there is one change taking place which warrants being mentioned. Several of our members are beginning to contribute articles of their own to our site, and this is most awesome, as doing so has always been something we have encouraged. We are very appreciative of their input, and always want to assist our members in bringing new and informative content to our online community.

In summary, we've continued our growth at Greatest Cape and hope to have a new year filled with a host of new features and functionality. Because of the involvement of our community, we hope that this will allow us to continue our expansion.

As a final note, I want to say that both the naysayers and the imitators have been a welcome challenge. However, it's hard to hide the appreciation we feel as a result of people believing in what we're doing. To our supporters we owe our largest debt of gratitude! Thank you, thank you, and thank you, again. It's because of you that we are here ~
http://greatestcape.blogspot.com/atom.xml

Greatest Cape

Greatest Cape - "Why We Love Social Media"

Shared via AddThis

http://greatestcape.blogspot.com/atom.xml

Reflections On Our 2nd Anniversary

It's really hard to see how fast the past year has flown by. Now, I sit here and try and think back over our strides during that time...and I am pleased with our progress. Maybe the best way to describe the course of the last year is multi-faceted. We, as a community blog / social network have begun to approach concerns about our own growth. As a community resource, our biggest concern is greater community involvement in order to provide more for our membership, as well as our advertisers. All the while, we've worked to improve our brand awareness. Maybe you've joined My Greatest Cape, our Facebook group ?

This year promises many changes we believe will not only broaden our offerings, but, also, our audience.

We are still hard at work on the beta site ( Thanks to those who've been willing to Beta test ), and will continue to refine our integration. Thanks to our readers whose astute comments are the life's blood of our stories, we really appreciate your input !

On a quite positive note, during the last twelve months, we have tripled our membership. After all, today is a day to remember. It is an historic occasion. The forthcoming Inauguration of our newly elected President, Barack Obama today signifies a shift in the public sentiment. Today sees the mood in America improve from "doubtful" to "hopeful". As I watch the people collect on the mall in Washington, D.C., I cannot contain my own hope, joy and exuberance. For me, and for so many of my fellow Americans these emotions are the confirmation of that change. Many of us would never have dreamed it was possible. Today represents the realization of "hope".

While I will not wax poetically about American ideals, I did feel the need to recognize the significance of this occasion. Today is A Day for Excellence ! With President-elect about to be sworn in as our nation's 44th President, our nation's resolve and re-commitment to the American ideal has never been stronger.

In keeping with that resolve, I want to re-confirm our own resolve and, as well, re-double our Commitment to Excellence. As Greatest Cape has grown from a small start-up business to having more than 1.500 members, we have sought to improve our offerings and services to our members first. While change is inevitable for all growing businesses, we will seek to guide our own with a focus on improving your experience foremost. At Greatest Cape, we are Committed to Excellence !

Thank you for being a member ! Please don't hesitate to share your own thoughts.
http://greatestcape.blogspot.com/atom.xml

Who Cares About Excellence ?

Who really does care about excellence ? Perhaps you are one of those persons who, in fact, does care. I know that I do. When I built Greatest Cape, it afforded me the chance to give something back to my community of Cape Coral. I care about the people and businesses in my community of Cape Coral, Florida.

With the forthcoming General Election in November, each of us has a choice to make. Whether we choose to vote a straight party ticket or select the candidate we believe is best-suited for the job, the most important thing to do is cast a vote.

While I will say that I don't maintain a party affiliation, it is my present intention to support the Democratic Party candidates for President. I am doing so because I feel that the Republican Party President whose term has nearly expired, has brought our country disgrace, dishonor and shown a lack of concern for all but the wealthiest Americans and corporate interests.

I firmly believe that more than our country needs an experienced politician, we need leadership that best represents the majority of Americans needs.

Because I believe that John McCain is nothing more that a "Yes" man with a voting record that has supported Bush's initiatives, I was hopeful that he would have selected a running mate who DID possess some integrity and concern for American citizens. He did not do that. He chose someone who seems to thoroughly understand the political process and has worked to further her own interests and those of the oil industry. I received an email today from a friend of Sara Palin. I feel it is in the interest of my country to reveal this letter.

When the national economy and the majority of Americans suffer, my community suffers , too.

Because I am Committed to Excellence, I will cast my vote for those candidates who I believe espouse similar values, have principals and personal integrity and can change the course in which our country is headed.

Peace and Prosperity,
Wray
http://greatestcape.blogspot.com/atom.xml

Reflections On Our 1st Anniversary

As it has been slightly more than 90 days since my last post, I must apologize for my neglect where regular posting is concerned. Where has the time gone ? It seems that so much has happened since I last checked-in. Most of what has transpired has been very positive.

This has been a challenging and rewarding year. If I had to do it over, I doubt I would do anything differently. Greatest Cape has become a significant presence among southwest Florida's online media entities. We are grateful for all of the notice and involvement of our community. Thanks to those who have created membership profiles and offered suggestions ! If you want to know the specifics of the past year's growth, simply click upon this postings title.

When I set out to write the business plan for Greatest Cape, I envisioned a web presence where I would have the opportunity to give back to the community I love. What I could not foresee was how rewarding and satisfying watching its growth would be to me.

I have often mentioned in various articles I have published is that "the best is yet to come". However, I honestly believe that to be true ! While the economic conditions are some of the most dire our country has seen in many decades, it hasn't stopped our growth. Our membership continues to grow at an exponential rate. Our Cape Coral Events listings have also grown. We initially had about 10-20 event listings per month. June has more than 75 event listings !

The number of Cape Coral businesses who have chosen to become a part of our Business Directory is growing, as well. While I realize that there are many free business directories online, we are a community resource portal that offers so much more. With more than 200 visitors and 30 unique visitors per day, our Business Directory members are afforded thousands of views monthly. With so many repeat visitors from our community, our ability to help these companies brand themselves within our community is, we believe, unsurpassed ! With that primary objective in mind, we're are presently expanding the scope and focus of our Cape Coral Business Directory to include an interactive, Flash®-based location map, as well as introducing a coupon page to help these businesses better determine their R.O.I. ( return on investment ) for their involvement.

Now that we are into our second year, we will begin to invite corporate sponsorship for our banner advertising program, so as to grow our presence even larger ! This will allow us to seek out those companies that we believe have vision and understand that their involvement will help them to achieve their growth initiatives within the SWFL community.

When I posted at the 9 month mark, we were happy to be approaching our 300th member. As we cross the year mark, we are simply ecstatic that we have doubled that number. As we progress onward, we will look forward to welcoming our 1000th member soon !

Until Soon !
_Wray
http://greatestcape.blogspot.com/atom.xml

Moving right along...at a fairly rapid clip !

Greetings All !

As it has been since November since my last post, I must confess to being somewhat remiss where being a more prolific BLOGGER is concerned. Actually, I will relate that as Greatest Cape has grown, so, too, have my administrative responsibilities. I do , however, want to relate to you about our successes as well as our set backs !

On March 8th, we will be 9 months old. Okay, I confess that we are still in our infancy, yet as much change and growth as we have experienced, it often seems to me that we are much older than that. I can remember watching the site garner it's first 20 members. I look back to that first month fondly. As we approach our 300th member, I can only say that I am very grateful for the involvement of our community, and some of the members whose leadership has helped our progress significantly.

Our site's functionality has grown well beyond it's original scope ! We have added a site-wide chat client, a media gallery, a sports feed, an interactive map, and a YouTube® Video of the Week feature for all of our members. For our Premium members, we have added a Personal Messenger, an Arts and Entertainment feed, a daily Stock Market index, and are putting the finishing touches on a My Greatest list builder for choosing a personal list of favorites from our Cape Coral's Greatest roster. I almost forgot to mention that it has been a wonderful addition to our site-wide stories and content to have been able to entice Ms. Robyn Mobley to contribute a weekly editorial column entitled Paradise Ponderings. (Thanks, Robyn ! You rock !)

As to the future of the site, it looks very positive ! Because of the addition of a Cape Coral Business Directory, we expect it to continue to grow. Since it's inception, we have effectively doubled it's size ! We have also (finally) managed to incorporate a banner ad management system to Greatest Cape. We will soon begin to offer corporate clients the ability to improve their own visibility by branding their presence upon our social network site.

While our content is varied, and our offerings numerous, we have sought to maintain a degree of candor that is, hopefully, refreshing, honest and forthright. Given our commitment to this level of communication, we have 'ruffled more than a few feathers', but we have not retracted one story or editorial. We can only strive to maintain that record. Put in layman's terms, "we call it like we see it"...and some of the pseudo powers ( or good ole' boy networks ) that be, have, quite likely, developed a distaste for us. But as our initial purpose was to provide a worthwhile and valuable resource for our community, we wont apologize for our observations. I think it was Theodore Geisel ( Dr. Seuss ) that said; “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.”

All in all, I am very pleased at our growth and progress up to now. I owe a debt of sincere gratitude to those who have chosen to become members of our site. I always appreciate their feedback and , in fact, encourage it. Interaction with our community has been our primary purpose and we will strive to increase that along with our offerings.

I'll see you online !

http://greatestcape.blogspot.com/atom.xml

If You Seek to Find...We Deliver !

On the 8th of December, Greatest Cape will officially be six months old. For me, it's hard to believe ! It's not so much because the time has passed quickly, but more because we have evolved rapidly. Our site's visitors have communicated with us and shared what their needs and wants are for our future. Hopefully, we are rising to meet these challenges.

As our site has grown, so, too, have our desires to expand our own scope and focus within the community of Cape Coral. Of course, we are constantly seeking new visitors and members to our site, but we only want to do so by attracting them, rather than compelling them. While we can not deliver the world to our members within our pages, we hope to be able to effectively deliver our community here in southwest Florida.

As we began to look at our needs with regard to this expansion, one thing became abundantly clear. We needed help ! Because, up to this point, our site has been, primarily, the work of just one person. Greatest Cape's present and future needs have outgrown the abilities of your humble narrator.

So as we begin to expand and recreate our existence, we are seeking to enlist the help of some equally capable (...and likely more talented persons)to help this expansion. It has been a real pleasure to have brought aboard Ms. Robin Mobley, our new Editorial Columnist with her weeekly Paradise Ponderings. Her work thus far has garnered some strong and favorable responses from our readers. Now we are nearly finished implementing a new marketing system which will allow those southwest Florida ( and national ) businesses who are seeking to advertise with us a professional solution for doing just that !

This has created a need to bring aboard a sales professional who really understands our product. The person we seek is not someone who drives a Bentley and commands huge commissions, just someone who shares our vision and appreciates the ability to offer southwest Florida businesses a unique and very worthwhile audience for their own products and services. They will be a friend to advertisers, helping to construct campaigns that deliver customers, not a shameless profiteer.

I am hopeful that our next six months will see more rapid growth than our initial six. With that in mind, I had better get back to writing, as my workload has anything but diminished. Most importantly, we will keep the needs of our members at the forefront of our own ambitions for expansion.

Most importantly, thank you for being a part of Greatest Cape ! You are the reason we exist.
http://greatestcape.blogspot.com/atom.xml

Here We Grow Again !

Since our launch in June of this year, we've had many successes. Or first 90 days were awesome. We had more than 10,000 visitors to our site. As we have gone forward, we've tried to add new functionality to our site for both levels of membership. We added a Google-style interactive map and a SW Florida Sports feed. For Premium members, we added a Personal Messenger, Arts and theatre feeds, and a daily Stock Market index.

In the past two weeks, we've added a Media Gallery and a Cape Coral Chat client. Both are presently available for all of the site's visitors. During the recent additions, we did had four days when our site was down. We posted a message letting our site's visitors know we were doing maintenance. Since we're back up, I have been busy catching up on site administration.

As a green business that is committed to excellence, I want to let my site's visitors know that we aren't going anywhere. We will continue to provide as much up-to-the-minute news, sports, weather, and events as humanly possible.

The most important thing I want to let Cape Coral residents know is that we offer a great deal of vital information free of charge. THERE IS NO CATCH ! If you haven't become a free member yet, we encourage you to join. All that is required is a username of your choice, a password ( which you can change ) and your email address ( so we can send your initial password ). Your privacy is assured. There is one other requirement; a desire to be informed !

We look forward to welcoming new members ! Join now and make us your home ! I don't remember ever being this busy. I know that's a good thing, though. Greatest Cape has been steadily growing as we have continued to add features and functionality. The concept of excellence in Cape Coral business is certainly not a new one. However, showcasing the Cape Coral businesses that espouse that philosophy, quite likely, is a fresh concept. It has certainly garnered yours truly a lot of attention. For this, I am ecstatic ! The number of visitors to Greatest Cape in our first month was astounding. Especially since we opted to undertake a marketing route that was based upon blogging, pinging, trackback and article publishing. We also have made fairly good use of posting to other social networks in an effort to get the 'word' out. We are now shifting gears and trying to emphasize membership. It seems that many of us are somewhat 'gun shy' where online committal is concerned. I shouldn't be surprised, though. With so many scams and capture pages artfully populating their mailing lists with our email addys, it's not a wonder that people are very reluctant to give their addresses. But just to remind those who are in doubt; We Are For Real !

With a responsibility to uphold a "Commitment to Excellence", we promise that no one will call, no salesman will visit you, we won't sell your name or e mail address. While this may be My Greatest Cape, Greatest Cape is YOURS ! Sign-up, log-in and leave the lights on, as other friends may stop by !

Until Later, The Administrator
http://greatestcape.blogspot.com/atom.xml

Looks Like We Made It

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_jpK53MR5jUw/RoOuuoOT7rI/AAAAAAAAAAM/l0AVzaNqewY/s320/GClogotype.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5081096920698711730" />
Greetings All,

I often feel as though 'I'm preaching to the choir'. I mean..Who reads these BLOGS, anyway ? I'm certain I don't really know. If my readers don't leave a comment, I have no idea whether there have been visitors or not. This fact leads me to speculate that in the future, we won't actually unearth time capsules that, years prior, were planted in the ground. We will, instead, discover the BLOGs and lost 'file directories' of some celebrity or artist, previously undiscovered, yet still existing upon some remote server. I suppose the perfect analogy is 'If a tree falls in the woods with no one around, does it make a sound ? With near certainty I can say that it does !

That being said. I am proud to let my faithful readers know that WE HAVE ARRIVED !!!

Greatest Cape launched, officially, on the 8th day of June, 2007. Since then, we have been in a nearly continuous state of revision, update, improvement and administration, save some brief periods of sleep, child care and caffeine infusion.

Our membership has begun to grow and, although slowly, so have we ! I guess it wasn't a difficult task to presume that the site would nearly always be in a state of change. As it is intended to be member driven, we want to improve it progressively.

So, even since launch, we have added new features, functionality and, especially, content. As in pre-launch, we have had successes, failures and set-backs. Above it all, we have made progress towards building an online community about which, our residents can be proud.

While I DO feel a small sense of relief, I realize, too, that the hardest work has just begun. That stuff about "..build it and they will come." only works in the movies !
http://greatestcape.blogspot.com/atom.xml

I hate to be a Killjoy...

As much as it pains me to tell you...Our launch has been delayed. Due to a crash of my very own hard drive (on my primary Power PC workstation) we have to push back to the first week of June. But mark my words, the delay will be worth the wait. This has been a long time coming and It will, hopefully, be a presence which will have a great longevity, as well. I feel very confident that what we have put together for the residents of Cape Coral will be an online community that we can proudly call home..and feel good about it !

We are launching this month as summer quickly approaches...by design. As this is a resource designed mainly for our residents, we have wanted to present it during our 'off season', in hopes that we can better establish ourselves prior to our winter residents and part timers return.

In many ways, this "community based resource portal" is the first of it's kind locally. It embraces both current technologies and "old school" functionality. For the new user, there will be a great deal of discovery and exploration. The more "net savvy" users ( pun strictly intended ) can jump right in and find lots of cool stuff, information and benefits, alike. While the site will constantly be "evolving", we want our membership to tell us exactly 'how' and what they would like to see us add

In either case, the site has been designed to be pretty straight forward and 'user friendly', as well. We're very hopeful that you'll like it. We PROMISE that you will experience nothing like pop-up or 'Google style' text ads anywhere. While we do have a banner through which we sell advertising ( Corporate or Non-Profit ONLY ), it is contained in each page's 'footer'...near the bottom of the page.

The ONLY local businesses you will be able to find here don't have flashy, animated ads...they are listed 'directory style'.
WHY ? Because we found them to be Committed to Excellence, hence, we refer to them as Cape Coral's Greatest®. We have found a few. It's up to you to help us identify more of them and get them listed within our site, your site...Cape Coral's site !

WELCOME !
http://greatestcape.blogspot.com/atom.xml

'Light at the end of the tunnel'

Greetings to My GreatestCape readership! I appreciate you taking time out to read my posts. I haven't been on in a while. Some people say that 'life is what happens while you are making other plans' and I am beginning to understand how that is, likely, true.

I want to update my community on my plans for the completion of GreatestCape. At present, I am working diligently with my development team to complete the beta version of this site. The translation is that we are nearing completion. The joy I feel in being able to relate that is beyond description. The development of this idea/concept/business plan has taken years. I can honestly say that if someone had told me prior to beginning exactly what would have to transpire and how long it would take, I don't know if I would have undertaken the project.

It should also be mentioned that because I believed in the idea and am not a quitter, I have persevered. I realize that I have only 'reached the starting line'. I am, however, filled with gratitude to be able to be here. While I believe that this site will take on a life of its own, I will be here to guide it as it grows.

The most important thing I want the future membership of GreatestCape to know is that 'I built this site for them, the residents of the Cape Coral community. It is a beautiful place to live and it is filled with both great persons and great businesses, alike. I encourage all who read this to join us, be a part, and most of all...give us feedback and tell us how you think we can do a better job for you and the community. We will rely upon our members to tell us 'who's great' and we will support those efforts by , hopefully, delivering those businesses and individuals who truly are 'Cape Coral's Greatest' and Committed to Excellence to our community at large.

Your humble servant and narrator,
T.Leaves
http://greatestcape.blogspot.com/atom.xml

My Greatest Cape

GreatestCape

On Outsourcing-

So we've finally reached the dog days of our southwest Florida summer, and its been a sticky season. We have, however, been fortunate to have had a mild hurricane season, thus far. While the Cape Coral real estate market has seen better days, we have already seen hints of an eventual turnaround. We can all look forward to this!

As I have worked to build this web presence, Greatestcape. I have learned a great deal about business.(I'm sure I have much more to learn!) I have seen a pattern among the likes of really successful business types to surround themselves with persons, of equal intelligence and capability, having similar skill sets, yet different strengths...kinda like different modules of the same entity. I guess it is something like outsourcing..I mean..you have to 'farm' the work that you can't handle, so why not consolidate the effort by teaming with the 'best and brightest' instead?

Well, as is evident, I am sold on this approach to achieve faster growth, greater leverage, and ultimate success with Greatestcape.

bye4now...T.Leaves
http://greatestcape.blogspot.com/atom.xml

My Greatest Cape

My Greatest Cape

I want to say a few words about Excellence. In my opinion, Excellence is more than a concept. Excellence is a dedication to success and a willingness to not accept failure. Achieving excellence requires an individual to be relentless, tireless and unyielding. Often, achieving excellence in ANY pursuit requires an individual to stand alone, receiving little or no support or encouragement. Achieving excellence is, with certainty, its own reward.

This having been said, I want to inform my readers about our launch delays. These delays have been numerous and untimely. They have produced such frustration within me that I have been tempted to 'just quit'. But then I realized, I am not willing to do that. How strong is my commitment? Let me tell you. At present, the launch of GreatestCape is the most important concern in my life. It refuses to take a 'back seat' to anything else. In order for me to abandon this pursuit, I would have to die. I WILL STAY THIS COURSE, COME WHAT MAY AND I WILL ACHIEVE MY GOAL. If you are among the 'true believers', I shall neither forsake nor disappoint you. In closing this post, let me share two inspirational messages with you.

"No great deed, private or public, had ever been undertaken in a bliss of certainty."
-- Leon Wieseltier, in The New Republic

“Productivity is never an accident. As the 'dog days of summer' now begin here in southwest Florida, so, too, begins a new web presence. GreatestCape is all about excellence. Yes, we are a resource for our community, too. Our delays have been numerous, but we are diligent, persistent and most of all..dedicated to success. Maybe I should rephrase that; 'We are committed to excellence'.

Our lawyers are helping to bring us online as soon as humanly possible, and they assure me that we are scant weeks, make that days away from launch !! I could not be more ecstatic. As the proprietor of this new web presence, I just want to take a moment to thank everyone for their patience. You will be justly rewarded.

I would also like to thank all of the individuals who have given their time, energy and expertise to this pursuit...most of whom haven't received ANY financial compensation. You have my sincere gratitude.

I will leave you with a thought as our July launch approaches ( Yes, we are a few days late. )

“Productivity is never an accident. I have had an exceptional day. No, I didn't attend a barbecue, nor did I have have any guests over to my home. In fact, it has been a day of quiet solitude. My thoughts have been ones of gratitude for the men and women who have proudly served our country during this time of war. Many of our soldiers have lost their lives protecting our freedom. My heart goes out to their families and loved ones. I did make certain that I raised our flag at sunrise and as dusk approached, I lowered it and refolded it lovingly and with pride. I am proud to be an American and grateful for the rights which I have as a citizen of this country. I cherish my freedom and the opportunities which that freedom affords me.

As the month of June approaches, so too, does the launch of Greatest Cape. We anticipate our arrival to be June 16th to be exact. This is what excites me. As the creator and owner of this web presence, I have the unique opportunity to give back. Perhaps I should explain. I have always had the greatest admiration for philanthropists. Most often these persons are financially endowed. They are often able to give monies to worthwhile causes that, frequently, benefit those less fortunate individuals. I have never been a rich man, but that hasn't stopped my desire to be able to do similar deeds. I have delivered meals to persons with AIDS, taught people who were illiterate to read, and walked to raise money for other charitable organizations. It is in giving that I receive the greatest joy. However, these contributions seem so small. I have always wanted to do something that would really benefit my entire community. With Greatest Cape, I believe that I have found just the vehicle to do that. I'll explain further.

As a web designer and developer, I deal with information. It is the most valuable asset that I know. In launching this site, I can now provide my community of southwest Florida with valuable information. The businesses with whom I have chosen to establish partnerships I hope will be supportive of my goals. I firmly believe that they represent the 'commitment to excellence' which Greatest Cape espouses. Their history within the SW Florida community supports my belief. It is an opportunity for me to align my new web presence with companies who believe that there are things 'more important than money'.

Greatest Cape is a membership based site. There are no fees or charges associated with membership. I encourage anyone interested in joining to do so. As a small business owner myself, I have found advertising on a highly visible web site to be somewhat cost prohibitive. I wanted to level the playing field for all businesses, especially those who may never be the biggest, yet strive to be the best. They are numerous. I have had the pleasure in my nearly 10 years here to have experienced their quality and dedication. I have always believed that 'word of mouth' is the best advertising..but I only have one of those. Greatest Cape will afford me the chance to help promote these businesses. They don't come to us, we find them. Our members will have the opportunity to nominate a business which they feel is deserving of this recognition. Our members will also have a FORUM, somewhat like a BLOG, to share their experiences with other members.

The cost of bringing my idea to life has been very significant. However, the costs are really unimportant. I believe that I have created something of real value for my community. Upon launching, I hope that you will agree!
http://greatestcape.blogspot.com/atom.xml

All About Cape Coral

Net Savvy?

Congrats from your Brother !!!

Please join i site design in welcoming a new internet presence for SWFL residents. Often in the course of human events, these delays occur. Reasons and excuses notwithstanding, we are determined to prevail. More specifically, we plan to launch by June.

It should be stated that not all people will like what we are trying to do here. There will always be detractors to ANY idea which seeks to single out certain businesses and vault them to a 'role model' status. We know our members care to know who is'Committed to Excellence'and will usually seek them out.

So, who are these people? That is a great question! While I am not at liberty to mention specific individuals, I can say a few words about the collective users of the site. The average user is between 26 and 43 years of age, male or female, 79-83% are residents of our fair town, some have advanced degrees, ALL are Net Savvy...does that help any??? Probably not, I guess. I am here to let the cat out of the bag, so to speak. In November, a brand new web presence will go online. It is a web site devoted to providing community information. It biggest function, however, will be to provide an arena for businesses to advertise. Great, you say, right? Well, not exactly...YES, it will be a great opportunity for those businesses fortunate enough to advertise here. WHY ? For starters, you have to be invited. Secondly, if you are invited, you will afford your company maximum exposure on a web site that will be a primary resource for individuals and businesses, alike. Last, and far from least, YOUR BUSINESS MUST BE COMMITED TO EXCELLENCE.
http://greatestcape.blogspot.com/atom.xml
